What’s creepy is you watch it for a-while it looks like they’re getting closer.
Topic ? Hunt4Truth has a good question. I might simplify it and ask more simply, how would you describe Faith ?
And – don’t feel alone, my Faith, too, has been shaken from time to time, especially with loss. From atheist, to theist, and back and forth between wanting to believe again, and wanting to be angry again.
Human logic, reason, emotion, and even tradition, is always going to twist the equation – and it’s not an entirely unpleasant formulae to examine, but at some point I tell myself – it’s just a puzzle, pretty enough, but one I don’t need to consider or answer now.
Life, and being in it, I believe, is more important than what lies or doesn’t lie beyond our graves. We can speculate about the unfathomable for a good many more centuries. Religion isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
Flowers will always bloom in the Summer and fade in the Winter. And so will man’s will and ways – about everything ephemeral and eternal to him, from birth, life, unto death.
I feel, and perhaps I stand alone, that what we have in the HERE and NOW far outweighs what is written in human legend, myth, and imagined beliefs of thousands of years ago or in the expected afterlife.
You, of course, are welcome to choose your own path. While some may point (and perhaps forcibly) in a direction regarding your religious faith, I hold out a hand, if only to hold for support that you may fully recognize and choose of your own accord, wherever it may be, and not to be judgmental or prejudice …
